Cosmetology is an area of pharmaceutical science and as such aims and research the creation and manipulation of new drugs – in this case cosmetics.
The sweet almond oil is a fat base with emollient properties, moisturizing and rich in vitamins and minerals. The sweet almond oil is neutral and therefore serves as base for the dilution of essential oils.
Beeswax contains medicinal properties as an emollient (softens skin), healing, moisturizing, anti-inflammatory and nourishes the skin. The wax is also incorporated into an ointment for treating burns and skin abscesses.
The essential oil of lavender (Lavandula angustifolia) has antiseptic properties (fight bacteria of typhoid fever, diphtheria, Streptococcus and Pneumococcus), then mixed with a neutral oil should be applied directly to the skin. The essential oil of lavender is effective in the treatment of burns, wounds, ulcers and bites, to prevent wrinkles and rejuvenate the skin.
The essential oil of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis) is added to creams and lotions prescribed to treat rheumatic diseases adjuvants and seborrheic dermatitis. The essential oil of rosemary when used externally (after properly mixed with a neutral oil), stimulates the peripheral circulation and it is anti-inflammatory.
22,5 g of Cocoa butter
35 g Sweet almond oil
22,5 g White beewax
Weigh the compounds separately. Take special care with the accuracy of the balance and spills / waste materials.
Mix well and melt in a double boiler (Bain-marie) the following ingredients: cocoa butter, sweet almond oil and white beewax.
Leave to cool and add the essences depending on your preference.
Store in a vial suitable for creams (can be reused as long as sterilized) so adding essences to prevent evaporation thereof.
Label with “external use”, “moisturizing cream” and the expiration date (3 months after the date of preparation).
The moisturizing cream is excellent for hydrating the skin, especially the hands, feet and dehydrated joints and regenerate the skin of the hands and cracked heels.
