I share with you one of the best recipes with lavender and lemon essential oil. This recipe was created, developed and shared by the therapist Raquel Carvalho, formed in various areas of alternative medicine: aromatherapy, auriculoacupuncture and Chinese massage.

Lavender cookies

250 g Flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder tea
125 g Butter
1 tablespoon Chopped lavender
5 drops of Lemon essential oil
1 pinch of Salt
125 g Sugar
1 Egg

Mix the first six ingredients with your fingertips until the mixture looks like breadcrumbs.
Add the beaten egg and sugar, stir and let the dough rest in a cool place.
Heat oven to 200°C and then extend the dough and cut the cookies in the shapes you prefer.
Take the cookies in the oven on a baking tray (not greased) and wait 10 minutes.
After this time remove the cookies from the oven. The biscuits must be extracted from the tray with a spatula.

Hidden aromas

The lilac color is an invitation to be involved by the floral aroma that reminds us of the spring fields.

Medicinal properties

Relaxing. The essential oil has antiseptic properties (fighting bacteria of typhoid fever, diphtheria, Streptococcus spp. and Pneumococcus spp.) and should be applied on the skin (suitably mixed with a neutral oil), treats burns, wounds, bites, ulcers, prevents wrinkles and it regenerates the skin. The oil obtained from the flowers is also antispasmodic and tonic, treat bad breath, relieves headaches and fights carminative (flatulence). Used as an antidote for snake venom. Recommended for nervousness, insomnia, circulatory system problems, dyspepsia (indigestion) and lack of appetite.
